Historic charm, urban nightlife and gorgeous outdoor scenery…yes, we are talking about Tucson! Phoenix’s neighbor to the south has so much to offer that it is often hard to leave. We here at Maracay Homes’ certainly understand the magnetism of Southern Arizona, and thus offer three new neighborhoods in the Tucson-metro area that give residents easy access to all the beautiful city has to offer.

Whether you’re a full-time resident or just passing through, join in on our love affair with Southern Arizona, here are a few Tucson events and attractions near our Maracay neighborhoods:

Main Gate Square

The heartbeat of Tucson can be felt at Main Gate Square. As the urban core of Southern Arizona, Main Gate Square invites all to walk around and enjoy a multitude of cultural activities and abundant entertainment. Dine, shop, listen to live music, go wine tasting, relax at the many spas or visit an art walk, all within a few blocks. With plenty to do, eat, see and enjoy, Main Gate Square will be your go-to destination for any day of the week.

Reid Park Zoo

Looking for some family fun and entertainment? Channel your inner wild animal at Tucson’s Reid Park Zoo, open every day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Take your little cubs to meet the animals and experience the many activities that the park offers, from the Conservation Learning Center to training demonstrations. If your youngsters just can’t get enough, be sure to check out available memberships!

Put Your Best Foot Forward

Waterfalls in the desert? Try seven. With miles of gorgeous surroundings perfect for hiking, biking, horseback riding, climbing and even day trips to explore underground caves, there’s more than enough to discover down south. One of the most popular hiking trails in Tucson is to Seven Falls in Sabino Canyon. It’s an easy, 8 mile round-trip hike, but it’s perfect during the summer because you can cool off and jump in the pools at Seven Falls before you make the hike back!

Tucson Meet Yourself

Coming soon in October is Tucson’s annual festival “Tucson Meet Yourself.” The festival celebrates Southern Arizona’s rich diversity and prominent folklife. The three-day event features food, dancing, music, exhibits and artisans to honor the community’s cultural history and future influence.
