Maracay Breaks Ground on The Lakes at AnnecyPosted 10/26/2018
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels, Vice Mayor Brigette Peterson and other special guests joined our president, Andy Warren, and company leaders this week to celebrate the start of construction at The Lakes at Annecy, a formerly distressed community that had fallen dormant during the recession. The groundbreaking event, coincidentally, followed the release of a new study revealing Gilbert as No. 1 among the nation’s 100 largest cities and towns for its ability to recover from the 2007-2009 downturn.
Of course, we don’t need a study to tell us how special this place is. We’ve known that for years. Which is why we continue to carefully craft our homes, like those at Marathon Ranch and Morrison Ranch, in this wonderful town. The Lakes at Annecy represents only the latest chapter in our long history with Gilbert.
Speaking to a crowd of about 30, our president highlighted why The Lakes at Annecy embodies the longstanding adage that finding the perfect home is all about “location, location, location.” The community lies near major transportation corridors, employment opportunities and Gilbert’s premier shopping, dining and entertainment. Plus, the community itself offers plenty of neighborhood amenities and a wide range of floor plans to accommodate various tastes and preferences.
So, what can home shoppers expect at The Lakes at Annecy? Access to everything. Located a mile north of the Loop 202, on the northeast corner of Val Vista and Parkview drives, it’s less than a 10-minute drive from Rivulon office park and other major Gilbert employers. It’s also walking distance from shops at SanTan Village and a whole host of dining options to satisfy anyone’s appetite. If that wasn’t enough, the gated master-planned community features tranquil lakes, three luxury pool complexes, playgrounds, basketball courts and tree-lined streets. The first phase of this community will open in early 2019 and will feature 216 single-family homes and townhomes ranging in size from approximately 1,020 to 2,269 square feet.
