April showers bring May flowers as well as some relaxing fun in the sun! It’s time to get outside and enjoy all that Arizona has to offer before the warmer months approach. Whether you’re looking for a night out alone or an event for the entire family, we’ve gathered a list of our favorites.
May 5, 12 & 19
6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Come spend your last few Friday nights of spring watching movies in the park! Tumbleweed Park will be hosting a three-week movie series featuring family-friendly flicks. Bring your family out for a night full of fun. Movies will be shown at 8 p.m., but the night will be filled with thematic activities fit for the entire family.
11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Experience Arizona’s largest food truck festival at Peoria Sports Complex. Not only will there be over 60 local food tucks, but also a large selection of craft beer. This family-friendly event will consist of great DJ’s playing music, free kids activities, a splash pad and much more. Admission is only $5 and kids 12 years and under is free. This event is sure to be fun for everyone!

9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Looking for some healthy greens to add to your spring cuisine? Experience fresh, local produce at Glendale’s Farmers Market. The market includes produce, artisanal food, garden and hand crafted items and much more. This community-gathering place is the perfect way to start your Saturday.
6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Bring the whole family out for this Summer Kick-Off Art Walk. This fun family atmosphere offers many different types of art available from talented artists. This monthly event features local artists and is a great opportunity to explore downtown Chandler. Some art types include painting, photography, jewelry and much more.
3 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Calling all moms! This fun-filled event is a perfect way to relax and feel appreciated. Lauren Snow Beauty will be sharing tips and tricks for pre and postpartum skin, makeup tips and much more. Each attendee will also create her own DIY facial mask to take home and use. Couple of Bartenders will also be serving up some sips! You won’t want to miss this.

4 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Support the local music scene by attending the Tucson Premium Outlets Concert Series, presented by the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance. The series provides local musicians with the opportunity to perform weekly in the community’s largest and only outlet shopping center. Music genres range from country to rock and jazz to classical. Admission is free and limited seating is provided. Bringing your own chair is encouraged.
