One of the most anticipated days of the summer is fast approaching. We’re talking about Independence Day. America’s birthday. The Fourth of July. No matter what you call it, it’s a holiday that’s practically synonymous with food, family fun, and of course, fireworks.

Goodyear Star Spangled 4th

What: Hot dog and pie eating contests, live music, corn hole tournament, bounce houses, water slides and fireworks. 

Where: Goodyear Ballpark, 1933 S. Ballpark Way
When: Saturday, July 4 from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Buckeye’s Old Fashioned Independence Day Celebration  

What: Family activities including water zone, bounce houses, obstacle courses, all-American treats and fireworks.

Where: Youngker High School, 3000 S. Apache Road
When: Saturday, July 4 from 6 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.

Peoria’s 4th of July All-American Festival

>What: Food eating contests, live music, Water Zone, Kids Zone, cornhole tournaments, concessions and fireworks show.

Where: Peoria Sports Complex, 16101 N 83rd Ave.
When: Saturday, July 4 from 5 p.m.–10 p.m.

Chandler’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular

What: Fun in the sun with all that Tumbleweed Park has to offer – Playtopia, sand volleyball, horseshoes, as well as live music and the culminating fireworks show.

Where: Tumbleweed Park, 2250 S. McQueen Road
When: Saturday, July 4 from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m.

Queen Creek Fourth of July Celebration

What: Amusement rides, water slides, hayrides, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, train rides and more.

Where: Schnepf Farms, 24810 E. Rittenhouse Road
When: Saturday, July 4 from 5 p.m-11:30 p.m.

Mesa’s Arizona Celebration of Freedom

What: The “Coolest” Independence Festival in the State. A day of entertainment with classic car show, live music on three stages, patriotic displays, historical reenactments, family fun and fireworks finale.

Where: Mesa Convention Center, 263 N. Center St.
When: Saturday, July 4 from 6 p.m.- 10 p.m.

Gilbert’s Fire in the Sky Fourth of July

What: Contests with prizes (including watermelon eating contest), vendors with food and treats and fireworks.

Marana Star Spangled Spectacular

What: Family fun, kids activities, food trucks and a music festival, topped off   with a spectacular fireworks show.

Where: Crossroads at Silverbell Park, 7548 N. Silverbell Rd.
When: Saturday, July 4 from 5 p.m.- 9:30 p.m.

July 4th Celebration in Oro Valley

What: Live entertainment, activities for kids, food trucks, relay races, contests, or just lounging by the pool, followed by a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
