3 Reasons Goodyear is a Great Place to Live

3 Reasons Goodyear is a Great Place to Live

What’s so good about Goodyear, Arizona? Plenty, especially when it comes to amenities and livability. But, if you truly want to know whether a place is as good as it sounds, they say you should go right to the source.

That’s exactly what the City of Goodyear did not too long ago. In 2015, the city surveyed 3,000 randomly selected residents and found that 93 percent said Goodyear is, in fact, an excellent or great place to live.

We agree, of course. Here are a few reasons why:

Entertainment:

The city is one of the West Valley’s top entertainment hubs, with diverse shopping and dining, indoor and outdoor activities, and much more. Our Rio Paseo community, located in the heart of Goodyear, is just down the street from Goodyear’s foremost shopping and dining district, featuring a 16-screen movie theater, a number of award-winning restaurants and a wide selection of upscale boutiques and specialty shops. Want something more outdoorsy? Goodyear boasts 327 acres of public parks, greenbelts, and special use areas, including a 14-acre park that sits right next to Rio Paseo.

Education:

According to the city, Goodyear is constantly striving to maintain excellence for its education system. And, it shows. With consistent high performance ratings among all of its K-12 school districts, it’s no wonder parents express extreme satisfaction with the local education. Not to mention, Goodyear also offers a wide selection of high performing private and charter schools, and is located near award-winning higher learning institutes, including Estrella Mountain Community College, Arizona State University-West Campus, Grand Canyon University and many others.

Spring Training:

Goodyear Ballpark is home to a number of city festivals, special events and, of course, Major League Baseball’s Cleveland Indians and Cincinnati Reds. That’s right! Both teams call Goodyear Ballpark their home away from home during spring training. The best part? The ballpark is conveniently located just a few miles from our Rio Paseo community.  The Phoenix New Times ranked Goodyear Ballpark as the best place to see a spring training game, and the 103-acre complex won the USA Today 10 Best Reader’s Choice award. The venue also features an all-ages Kids Zone, which includes a whiffle ball field and four baseball-themed inflatable activities.
