Meet the Builder - Maracay Homes Announces New President
“I am more excited about the opportunity here at Maracay Homes than anything I have been involved with in my 25 year career in the homebuilding industry,” says Andy, after taking over the reins of Maracay from founder Dave Bessey. “Most of that excitement is due to the people that I've met at Maracay. While the market has certainly been challenged over the past several years, you'd never know it from the attitude and enthusiasm displayed by Maracay employees. They have been able to preserve the elements that have made Maracay a special company, things such as world class quality and customer satisfaction, an emphasis on architectural detailing and design that set Maracay Homes apart from the cookie cutter competition. Even more, homebuyers are treated to a special experience with Maracay's famous Flex Design process,” explains Andy. He continues, “Now that the market is clearly improving, it is this combination of special people and company attributes that will help to ensure even greater success for Maracay Homes, its employees, and most importantly our customers, now and in the future.” |

Maracay Homes welcomes veteran homebuilder and new President, Andy Warren. Before joining Maracay, Andy devoted five years as Partner and Chief Operating Officer of EYA, a private builder and developer based in the Washington D.C. area. Andy was instrumental in guiding the company to recognition as America’s Best Builder by the National Association of Homebuilders. Prior to that time, Andy held progressively responsible leadership roles over 16 years for Winchester Homes, headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland. Winchester Homes is a sister builder to Maracay Homes, both viable subsidiaries of Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Company.
